Dear Parent(s):
I am excited about having your child in my class this year. My plan is for each child to be eager about learning, to recognize and appreciate the uniqueness of each individual, for each student to reach his or her potential, and to become prepared for High School. It is important that we work together so that mutual respect is evident and a safe caring educational climate is established. I firmly believe that every student has a right to learn and that no student should be permitted to prevent another student from learning. In order to accomplish these goals, the following expectations, rules, consequences, and procedures will be utilized:
General Information
For every class student will need (1) graph-paper notebook, (2) red and blue/black pens, (3) ruler, (4) pencil. Sometimes we will be using (5) calculators. Students are responsible for taking notes daily in their notebooks. Homework will be given every class period. Late homework will not be accepted except in the case of excused absences. Late homework will only be accepted the following day (not the following class period, but the next day). Full credit will be assigned if received to me before the 8:30 bell rings.
